The lowdown on fleet van insurance

Fleet van insurance is cover for three or more vehicles owned by the same company. It is great for businesses who prefer one insurance policy as opposed to separate policies for each van. You can cover hundreds of vehicles under one policy depending on your insurance provider.

Your insurance provider will need to know the details of each vehicle and can usually insure different makes and models of vans under one fleet policy.

Three signals why you should compare van insurance

1.      Show expensive insurance quotes the red light and jumpstart your savings as we help you compare cover for courier, haulage or goods in transit, whatever vans you’re driving.

2.      It’s fast, and easy as you can compare multiple deals with one simple search.

3.      We’re trusted. Check out our reviews, they’ll speak for themselves!

Why do you need fleet van insurance?

You wouldn’t drive a car without insurance, and wouldn’t drive a van without one either! Insuring your vehicle protects the van, it’s contents and most importantly, you. However, unlike cars, there are different types of van insurance depending on what your using it for.

You can compare quotes with us for different types of fleet van insurance:

Carriage of own goods: This provides cover for your van while your commuting and your possessions such as expensive tools. If you are doing deliveries, you’ll need courier or haulage cover too!

Haulage: This provides cover for social use only, not including work commutes.

Types of cover

Don’t forget you’ll need to decide in the level of cover as well - comprehensive, third party fire and theft or third party only.

Comprehensive - This is the highest level of cover that is available. Comprehensive cover will insure your van against theft and fire, as well as cover for you, your van and third parties involved in any motoring incidents.

Third party, fire and theft (TPFT) - With TPFT, you will be covered for damage or injury to third parties and for fire damage, or theft, of your van.

Third party only (TPO) – TPO covers injuries or damages to third parties – legally, you need it to drive your van. Just because it’s the most basic cover, don’t assume it’ll be the cheapest.
